| Description |
Database Administrator urgently required for contract located in Germany by world leading blue chip client.
As Database administrator you will have at least 2 years' in-depth knowledge and experience of administering Oracle databases on UNIX midrange Servers with banking exposure and be fluent in German. Extremely advantageous to have knowledge of administering systems involving any of the following: 24x7 operations, SAN, Tivoli, TCP/IP Networking + Shell Scripting and/or Perl, J2EE, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, IBM MVS, Linux (any flavour).
Your job responsibilities and previous experience will include:
Coordination with internal teams and external service providers and application vendors, Release and configuration management for multiple system instances, Routine operations eg user administration, storage and log management, monitoring and associated automation, Database migration between engine releases, Functional test support, Performance test planning, execution, analysis and improvement and Performance tuning. It should be noted that on-call and weekend working may be required. Fantastic role for German speakers with world leading client.
