| Description |
Application Server Administrator urgently required for contract located in Frankfurt Germany by world leading blue chip client. As Application Server Administrator you will have at least 2 years' in-depth knowledge and experience of administering BEA WebLogic Application Server clusters (ideally version 10) in a UNIX midrange environment with a Banking exposure. You will also be fluent in German.
Your skill set should include:
24x7 operations, Oracle DBMS, WebSphere MQ, Tivoli, TCP/IP Networking, FTP, HTTP and Web Services protocols, Java, Shell Scripting and/or Perl, Sun Solaris 10, IBM AIX, IBM MVS and Linux (any flavour).
Your experience and responsibilities will cover:
- Coordination with internal teams and external service providers and application vendors
- Set-up and configuration of multiple domains and application Servers
- Routine operations eg application, user, and log management, monitoring and associated automation,
- Functional test support,
- Load-balancing and performance tuning,
- Troubleshooting and/or problem analysis,
- Defining and documenting operating procedures in accordance with established guidelines.
It should be noted that on-call and weekend working may be required. Fantastic role for German speakers with world leading client.
